I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), licensed in Massachusetts (#114752), with a Master's degree in Social Work from Simmons University School of Social Work. Prior to that, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication from The American University, and a Juris Doctor from the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America. I maintain memberships with the Massachusetts Association of Guardians ad Litem (MAGAL) and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC). I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers, Massachusetts Chapter, and have been practicing as a clinical therapist since 2005.

I formerly worked as a family lawyer. In that role, I found I was not helpful to families going through divorce in the way I wanted to be. Therefore, I shifted my career path and became a clinical social worker to better support family members coping with divorce. Through clinical interventions, I help coparents shift from a failed marriage relationship to a well-functioning, cohesive coparent relationship that supports their children. I use skill-building, boundary-setting, and a number of other strategies to help coparents effectively transition in ways that allow their children to perceive merged parenting without sides.
