Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I am currently conducting therapy sessions via telehealth.

About Me
Here are details about my education and career path that led me to therapeutic practice.
Diana Kierein, LICSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in Massachusetts (#114752), with a Master's degree in Social Work from Simmons University School of Social Work. Prior to that, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication from The American University, and a Juris Doctor from the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America.
I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers, Massachusetts Chapter, and have been practicing as a clinical therapist since 2005.
I formerly worked as a family lawyer. In that role, I found I was not as helpful to families going through divorce as I wanted to be. Therefore, I shifted my career path and became a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker to better serve families. Through therapy, I am able to facilitate parents' development of effective communication skills and respect for new boundaries, which helps parents move forward and adjust perspectives to create resolutions for their families.
